Textile and Fashion Manufacturing towards Industry 4.0

Project Type: Erasmus+ KA220-VET – Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training


Project Description:

Sust3DFashion is a 24-month cooperation partnership in the field of Vocational Education and Training, aimed at promoting innovation in the textile and fashion manufacturing sector, by creating synergies with the technology, digital sector and specifically 3D printing, paying great attention to the concepts of circular economy and environmental sustainability in the field of textile manufacturing industry, as promoted by the latest EU policies in the specific sector.


Objectives:

  • Enabling VET providers to create innovative digital education and assessment tools
  • Enabling textile and fashion manufacturing industry experts (aged 25-45 years old) with vocational skills on 3D design and printing paying attention to the benefits of fashion circularity and environmental sustainability.
  • Establishing mutual mentoring relationships between textile and fashion manufacturing industry experts and 3D designing and printing experts.


Results:


  • One Sust3DFashion e-learning Training scheme addressed to VET providers
  • Sust3DFashion MOOC addressed to textile and fashion and fashion experts.
  • Mentoring Plans containing insights for textile and fashion manufacturing industry, and 3D design and printer experts

Inclusive Greening excellence in the African Education and Training Ecosystem

Project Type: Erasmus+ KA220- Capacity building in the field of higher education, vocational education and training, youth and sport


Project Description:

GEAVET project aims to to address the challenges posed by climate change and the persistent mismatch between the job requirements and the skills offered by the education and the vocational and training systems. Green transition needs to be in the center of the transformation of vocational education in Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda and Mozambique and agriculture needs to move from the prevalent subsistence farming to climate-smart, nature-positive income and jobs generating activity. 

 

Objectives:

  • To reinforce capacities of VET providers to be better equipped to engage with business associations and enterprises in the agricultural sector
  • To improve the quality and responsiveness of VET, in the third countries, to economic and social developments related to climate change and adaptation 
  • To enhance the labour market relevance of skills provision and to align VET provision to local, regional and national development strategies related to green, digital and inclusive transition. 


Results:


  • a state-of-art analysis of vocational training best practices in sustainable agriculture 
  • best practices for pedagogical approaches and VET programmes for agricultural practices beneficial for the environment in EU countries
  • a training programme to increase sustainability competences of small-holder farmers
  • an ICT-based coaching programme addressing the needs of women farmers in farm modernisation

Enhancing Digital tools for an Inclusive Dyslexia Adult Education

Project Type: Erasmus+ KA220-ADU – Cooperation partnerships in adult education


Project Description:

The DYGI4ADU project aims at improving the knowledge on the phenomenon of adult dyslexia and on effective methodologies for remediation through analysis, research and the creation of a manual and digital teaching material to support adult educators. DYGI4ADU considers inclusivity and accessibility as core to future digital pedagogy success.


Objectives:

  • Improved knowledge on the phenomenon of adult dyslexia and on effective methodologies for remediation;
  • Improved competences and strengthened expertise and skills of adult educators and providers supplying them with innovative and digital-based approach to teach adults with dyslexia;
  • Provision of a community-based learning environment and transfer of knowledge on Assistive technology to support adults with dyslexia;
  • Sensitization of communities regarding a so common but lacking clarity learning difficulty that influences the learning pathway of adults and its employment opportunities


Results:

  • a report with evidenced based Indicators of Dyslexia In Adult learners;

Developing VET Entrepreneurial Green Mindset and skills for Small-Business Development

Project Type: Erasmus+KA220- Capacity building in the field of higher education, vocational education and training, youth and sport


Project Description:

The GSMESKILL project aims at reinforcing the links and coordination between VET systems and local labor markets in Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa. The project focuses on the improvement and empowerment of VET providers in the fields of management, governance, inclusion, quality assurance, innovation and internationalization. These actions and improvements will consequently lead to an increase of the levels of competences, skills and employability potential of VET learners, and an increased awareness among those institutional actors that should bridge the labor market and VET.


Objectives:

  • To reinforce the links between the third countries not associated to the Programme VET system and its labor market so as to better align VET to local labor market opportunities.
  •  To increase the capacities of VET providers and teachers especially in the fields of management, governance, inclusion, quality assurance, innovation; and internationalization
  • To improvthe level of competences, skills and employability potential of VET learners.
  • To improve the knowledge, technical, managerial and pedagogical skills of VET teachers and trainers
  • To support the exposure of staff and policy makers bridging the labour market and VET closer.

Hydroponic Vertical Farming VET- Developing VET for addressing vertical hydroponic farming skills needs

Project Type: Erasmus+KA220-VET – Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training


Project Description:

Hydro_Farm_VET is a 28-month initiative designed to enhance the flexibility of vocational education and training (VET) opportunities, develop a new Vocational and Occupational Course (VOOC) on vertical hydroponics, and facilitate integration into the labor market. By cultivating human capital capacity and creating career pathways for agricultural workers and entrepreneurs, the project aims to address the following critical needs:

  • Shortage of training programs: A scarcity of training programs and courses specifically focused on vertical hydroponic technology.
  • Skill gaps: A lack of hydroponic knowledge and skills within the agricultural sector, coupled with insufficient training provisions to address these deficiencies.
  • Training resources: A dearth of training tools and resources in the field of hydroponics, particularly those incorporating online learning approaches.
  • Policy gaps: A need for policy discussions to restructure and modernize regulations governing organic production,labeling, control, and the role of soil in defining organic products, as outlined in Council Regulation No 834/2007.


Objectives:

  • Improvement of specialized VET training in order to make the agricultural sector more accessible and attractive anticipating existing gaps and accelerating transition to this future-oriented type of farming
  • Creation of opportunities for integration into labor market and establishment of the conditions for human capital capacity development, and career opportunities for agriculture workers and entrepreneurs to increase flexibility of opportunities in VET. 
  • Development of a network of education and training providers, as well as stakeholders in order to draw recommendations on the evolution of related training opportunities and to strengthen the dialogue regarding the Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 on organic production and labelling of organic products (Commission Regulation (EC) No 889/2008).

Results:


  • One report on best practices, applied initiatives and policies on hydroponic farming in the context of EU; 
  • One report on the existing VET training, courses and job opportunities in EU;
  • Five National Reports as needs assessment to determine the gap and needs between the present state and the desired state
  • A new VOOC on vertical Hydroponic
  • Five workshops for the exchange of good practices and VET training presentation involving various stakeholders from all the levels of education and governance;
  • Five National Policy Recommendation briefs and one (1) transnational to contribute on the change hydroponic status quo in EU.


Developing Integrative on-line Parenting Courses: Strategies for Raising Children Affected by Adverse Childhood Experiences

Project Type: Erasmus+ KA220-ADU – Cooperation partnerships in adult education

Project Description:

Smart Parenting is a 28-month project bringing together a variety of EU partners and aiming to secure a more resilient and promising future for children with Adverse Childhood Experiences by establishing a comprehensive online model of parent- support grounded on the principles of informed decision-making and positive parenting, thus contributing to the reduction in short- and long-term trauma-related symptoms of the child, and creating an inclusive environment that fosters equity and equality.


Objectives:

  • To foster prevention on potential adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) by offering concrete alternatives to abusive and ineffective methods of discipline and control
  • To increase knowledge and skills of non-professionals (adult parents) and professionals who will locally deliver high-quality, evidence-based and online parental education and support in preventing and responding to ACEs. Most importantly parents will learn about the impact of trauma on their child development.
  • To provide easy, practical strategies to help parents build strong and healthy relationships with their children prevent problems in the family, school and community before they arise and create family environments that encourage children to realize their potential.


Results:


  • An array of evidence-based parenting programs possessing high likelihood of producing positive results in parent-child relationship.
  • Core curriculum and a parent training guide and trainer’s material focusing on Adverse Childhood Experiences – mainly neglect and abuse- and ways to mitigate troublesome behavior.
  • Digital and audio – visual scripts and evidence-based messages for parents and caregivers that are shown to improve their mental health, give them positive ways to manage challenging child behaviour, and how to enjoy playing together. 


Curricula Development on Climate Change Policy and Law Erasmus+Program

Project Type: Erasmus+ KA220 Capacity building for higher education


Project Description:

The aim of the project is to develop, test and adapt new curricula in the field of Climate Change (CC) Law. Specifically, the integration of an multidisciplinary educational programme on Global CC Policy and Law, offered at a level of Postgraduate diploma (PGDIp) or alternatively as LL.M depending on each Partner HEI final decision, will aim to address the need of a new generation of post-graduates in a LLM that will acquire a high-level expertise on environmental policies and CC law. The CCP_LAW project will support Malaysia, India and Vietnam to address the challenges facing their higher education systems by improving its quality and relevance for the labour market.Therefore, the project will improve the level of competences and skills in the HEIs by developing a new and innovative ICT-based education program and by applying best practices pedogeological methodologies among academics and learners.  The new postgraduate courses will first of all support the modernization, accessibility and internationalization of higher education in Malaysia, India and Vietnam. Creation of CCP_ Law Centers in all the Law Departments of the Asian HEIs will support the capacity to network effectively in research and the ability to create links with the institutional efforts for CC policy-making.


Objectives:

  • To support the modernization, accessibility and internationalization of higher education and to address the challenges facing the higher education systems in Malaysia, India and Vietnam

Developing VET for addressing Construction and Demolition Waste Management skills needs

Project Type: Erasmus+ KA202- Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training


Project Description:

CDWaste-ManageVET project objective is to promote VET for employees on construction sector by addressing modern training needs in accordance with EU priorities regarding current CDW management rules and circular economy. Through CDWaste-ManageVET project, a modern and innovative e-training VET program will be developed, based on Vocational Open Online Course (VOOC), tailored to labor market needs and targeted to bridge the skills gap and shortages in CDW Management by upskilling the existing workforce and equipping people in constructor sector with the necessary skills to effectively manage waste.


Objectives:


  • To promote VET for employees on construction sector by addressing modern training needs in accordance with EU priorities regarding current CDW management rules and circular economy. 
  • To enhance opportunities for integration into labor market and create the conditions for developing human capital capacity and career opportunities, through integrating free accessible VET
  • To strengthen the participation of representatives of education and training providers, as well as construction sector stakeholders exchange information and good practices in order to draw recommendations on the evolution of such skills and jobs.
  • to empower cooperation between educational institutions and business, as a result of combining theoretical & practical training.

Results:


  • Industry Driven Analysis and Best Practice handbook
  • CDW Management VET curricula (CDWaste-ManageVET curricula) with a stimulated WBL component
  • CDWaste on-line training platform
  • Report on final training program
  •  90 VET learners will develop sector-specific skills that will respond to the evolving changes due to the challenges of a circular economy, among them 30 VET trainees will be benefited through their participation in a small scale internship/ mentorship/ programme
  • 18 VET providers will enhance new training programs by integrating project outputs.

The Other Side of the Story: Perpetrators in Change

Project Type: Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme (REC) of the European Union (2014-2020).


Project Description:

The aim of the OSSPC project is to prevent further domestic violence and change violent behavioral patterns by increasing the capacity of frontline workers that will further teach perpetrators of domestic violence to adopt non-violent behavior in interpersonal relationships and understand the impact of domestic violence on the them, family and community. “The Other Side of the Story: Perpetrators in Change” (OSSPC) is a project which will be implemented by: The Association for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family – APHVF, Cyprus as Coordinator and its partners, Bournemouth University (BU)- United Kingdom, Centro di Ascolto Uomini Maltrattanti Onlus- CAM, Italy, The Union of Women Associations of Heraklion Prefecture (UWAH), Greece, European Knowledge Spot, Greece and The Social and Medical Services Directorate (DASM), Cluj-Napoca.


Objectives:

  • To facilitate national agencies and/or community-based organizations in formulating or re–formulating action plans for better and more effective responding to domestic violence through the provision of evidence-based research on the effectiveness of perpetrator programmes.
  • To train 300 frontline workers and increase their competences by developing an effective capacity-building methodology and a corresponding training package. –
  • To foster multi-agency domestic violence strategy and create an efficient network of prevention and early intervention through the delivery of: reports on regional strategies for multiagency collaboration, organization of roundtables with relevant stakeholders aiming to foster multiagency and integrated response to domestic violence and of statement papers on multiagency collaboration and protocols of cooperation in domestic violence and perpetrator intervention programmes.
  • To increase awareness on the importance of effective and high-quality information sharing as well as timely safeguarding response through the organization of regional roundtable meetings with 100 professionals and at least 50 agencies which will adhere to Protocol guidelines.


Results:


  • Improved awareness on the need of perpetrator programmes as an important element of an integrated/comprehensive approach to preventing and combating violence against women.
  • Comprehensive approach to preventing and combating violence against women.
  • -Increased knowledge and understanding of frontline workers of the dynamics behind domestic violence and abuse and of the typical beliefs, values and tactics of perpetrators. 
  • Strengthened multi agency collaboration in the field of the project
  • Appropriate tools will be produced and awareness raising events will be implemented to prevent abusive practices and urge the public and policy makers stand together against domestic violence.
